Eligibility

For a person aspiring career in the judiciary, Junior Civil Judge(JCJ) is a place to start with.
Selection process of JCJ governed by the respective High courts.
The Eligibility criterion to take JCJ prelims differs from state to state. Always, download the notification from respective HC official site and go through it. The aspirant’s foremost duty is to understand the notification. Though it sounds trivial, the interpretation of the selection notification reflects in your preparation.

Selection Process

The JCJ selection process consists of Three(3) stages.
1) Prelims, (2) Written examination (Mains), (3) Viva-voce (Interview)

Stage 1

Prelims

Marks– 100
Time– 2 Hr
Pattern– MCQ

Selection for the Written examination (Mains) shall be made in the ratio 1:10.Qualifying marks are subjective and depends on the number of posts.

Stage 2

Written examination (Mains)

There will be 3 papers. Each paper carries 100 marks and duration of each paper is 3 Hrs. Descriptive in nature
Paper 1: Civil paper
Paper 2: Criminal paper
Paper 3: Essay writing and Translation
Selection for the viva-voce (interview) will be made in the ratio of 1:3.

Stage 3

Viva-voce

Personal Interview of the selected candidates from the written examination shall be conducted.

Final selection for the posts shall be made on the basis of merit. The Aggregate Marks of Written examination and viva-voce will be considered for final selection of the Candidate for the Post.

  • Individuals who are getting more than 30 percent of marks can register their self in this course.
  • After qualifying for the online entrance exam, you must pay the registration fee & need to submit the registration form.
  • After receiving the details we will post the JCJ Reading Material (6 Books) to your address.
